R's Welcome Back Presentation. I am so excited to be returning for my second year at Hillcrest as the SLP 2/3/4 teacher! Reynolds' 3rd-grade class! I am so excited to share this learning journey with all the third graders who enter my class. I always tell my students that my 'dream job is being a teacher.' Welcome To Mrs. Bryan's Learning Cafe Homepage

Yesterday the winners of the John Newbery Medal and Randolph Caldecott Medals were announced for excellence in children’s literature. The Newbery winner is, “The Girl Who Drank the Moon” by Kelly Barnhill. Honors were also given to, “Wolf Hollow” by Lauren Wolk. Both of these books are available in the recent Scholastic Book order.

The Caldecott winner was, “Radiant Child: The Story of Young Artist Jean- Michel Basquiat”. Honors were given in many different categories to the book, “Freedom Over Me: Eleven Slaves, Their Dreams Brought to Life” by Ashley Bryan.
